KIWI is building itself as a premier provider of VR accessories. Their stands, covers, and cushions have made the world of VR (and, by proxy, accessing the metaverse) much more comfortable and convenient.

So, I decided to give the KIWI VR Display stand a try. I already needed a better way to organize my Oculus Quest 2 headset and controllers, and a friend of mine kept raving about his recently purchased KIWI accessories. So, did the KIWI display stand live up to the hype?

The Claim

KIWI promises its display stand is stable, safe, and compatible with a variety of VR headsets. If true, that means that, of course, means that I can keep using the same headset if I ever decide to upgrade to HTC’s Vive.

They also claim that it’s easy to assemble, offers a stylish look, and features a compact design that easily fits into any space. Let’s see if it lives up to the hype.

The KIWI Display’s Reality: Assembly

It’s true; the KIWI display is very easy to set up. I’ve never assembled a VR headset display before, yet had no problem following the instructions (and, honestly, I probably would’ve been fine without them). You’ll have it up and ready in no time.

Durability

I may or may not have to update this section at a later time, but right now, the stand feels durable. I haven’t had it long enough to tell if it lasts, but so far so good. Granted, I set it up in a pretty safe area and I tend to be careful with my Oculus headset anyways. So it’s not really subject to much abuse.

VR Headset Fit

For the most part, it fits my Oculus pretty well. But, quick confession; I have a big head. So, I’ve noticed that I have to resize the head strap to its smallest before it fit snugly on the KIWI display. I tend to make small adjustments each time I put the thing on anyway, so it’s not a big deal for me. But it is something to keep in mind.

KIWI Display’s Style

My living room mostly features modern decor and furniture, so the KIWI Display fits right in. It’s stylish, but not a centerpiece – which, as far as I’m concerned, is perfect. So even if your living doesn’t feature a modern style, it should still fit in pretty well.

KIWI’s Compact Design

Remember when I said that I kept the display in a safe place? Admittedly, it was somewhat challenging to find a spot that was both safe and convenient. But the design lived up to its claim and fits easily in the one small area that worked well for storing my Oculus.
