EduDAO, a decentralized Web3 research organization formed by BitDAO, is currently hosting a career fair at Decentraland University.

The event is largely targeting college students who have either recently graduated or plan to graduate soon.

They have partnered with several divisions of ivory-league schools, including Harvard Blockchain, Blockchain at Berkley, and MIT Sloan blockchain, among others.

Each booth features a bot directing visitors to relevant web pages and contact email addresses. A few companies, including Ripples, had representatives available to speak with prospects. Several booths also included floating tabs linking to websites and social profiles. Participants are encouraged to network as well. According to the event’s listing, visitors are encouraged to “Meet the leading companies in crypto while networking and learning from high-profile innovators in the space.” Several participants could be heard discussing their backgrounds and aspirations with each other.

Visitors were encouraged to sign up for the event via an EventBrite listing in order to participate. However, the venue was open to the public; no invitation was required. It appears to be a great success so far with several users visiting and networking.

Several big names in the Web3 space have rented virtual booths for the event. They include:

  • The HBAR Foundation
  • Intellabridge
  • Kadena
  • Windranger
  • Celo
  • The Algorand Foundation
  • zkSync
  • Ripple
  • Utopia
  • R Gamer
  • Osmosis
  • dYdX
  • Polygon
  • Near

According to Alex from Ripple, some of the industry’s most in-demand positions include:

  • Engineers (highest demand)
  • Project managers
  • Storytellers
  • 3D Designers
  • Web3 Marketers

The career fair is scheduled to continue until 4PM EST.
